ABOUT ME

Wood scraps Violin

This project is an ungoing exploration of instruments making that originated from two personnal cravings. The first one was to reconnect with my musical education (violin and viola) after stoping for a few years.
But being a student implies unpractical time schedjules to play without disturbing my roomates.
Which leeds me to the second part of this project. How can I make for myself a very affordable violin that I could play at any time of the day ?
Using electronics allows me a more free exploration of the materials, taking away the need of a specific shape for it to work.
The purpose was not only to make an instruments but also a first step into creating a process of DIY instruments.

The first instruments being finished, this projects now continues trough the exploration of different materials such as 3D printing of other methods of wood working.

    Unbiological clock

In reaction to the persistent gender norms for women to be assicoated to motherhood. This “unbiological clock” provites informations based on research found in feminine press, on the best age or life period to have a baby. By turning the circle in the center, the user changes the age and the screens will shocase a diferent message.

Made out of ceramic, the shell of the object is hosting an arduino circuit coded to react on the amount of time the clock is turned.
The two screens are displaying ironical text about the importance of procreating as a woman.

Interractive visit of the Chasselay memorial

The "Tata of Chasselay" is the only national necropolis in France dedicated to the "Senegalese Riflemen," soldiers from French colonies who fought and died for France during World War II. This memorial incorporates traditional architectural elements from French colonies, synthesizing diverse cultural and religious symbols in its design. While this attempt to unify diverse cultures within a single monument aims to honor the soldiers' heritage, it also raises questions about individuality and identity.

The architecture of the Tata is officially inspired by the architectural style of French Sudan (present-day Mali), though its name is derived from traditional Senegalese fortifications, which can also be found in Benin and Togo. This approach, blending elements from different regions of the former French empire, sought to acknowledge and commemorate the multicultural contributions of these soldiers. However, this amalgamation is not without critique, as it risks contributing to the erasure of individual histories and cultural distinctions in favor of a singular, cohesive narrative.

This project takes the form of a digital 3D platform that reconstructs the architectural elements of the monument. Its purpose is to provide digital access to the site, enriched with essential information about the traditional terminology and architectural styles that inspired its design. For example, the entrance and pillars are modeled after a specific Malian architectural style traditionally used exclusively in the construction of mosques.

    STOR(Y)ING

In the context of the studio Technogeographies, at Design Academy, I participated in the design and making of the collective publication, gathering a visualisation of the work and research topic of each student.

This semester the topic was “Storage” and we were a team of five students working with some of the tutors to design the book and bring together in one book a version of each student’s work.

    Smile ! You are online

A zine, a small book and a workshop about the accessibility of cctv cameras online.
The existance of websites hosting open acess cctv cameras accross the globe questions for me the question of image rights in public space. To which extend are we willing to give up on our privacy and image control when we are in a public space?

    Choose your pill

Choose your pill is a multimedia project aiming to share knowledge about the birth control pill. In France, as in many other countries, the pill is still the most prescribed contraceptive even though it is not the safest and can have strong impacts on general health.
Directed mostly toward young teenagers, this project is composed of a large-scale blister (physical and poster), showcasing every pill available on the French market, their level of risks (strokes and blood clots), and their hormonal composition.
The back of the poster is an information paper about the pill in general and a legend to properly read the blister.
A video of testimonies about experiences with the pill is also accessible through a QR code.

The purpose of the project is to give full transparency and keys to understanding the complexity of medication to any person aiming to take the pill, in order to be fully part of the decision.

    Ceramic sound creature

This ceramic sound creature is a collaboration with Lena.

Inspired by micro organisms from the submarin biodiversity, this creature reacts to the approach of humans, sometimes spinning faster, sometimes getting quiet.
